Hmm.... so the creatures proved to be robotic - programmed.

I can see the cabal doing something of that sort - and the 90% reduction of human population is something various globalist organizations have suggested a few times (club of rome, for instance).

This movie suggests, however, that controllers come from space (post-credits scene). I'm guessing that this goes into the ancient aliens theory territory. Oh, and then there's this loosh theory - earth being a farm - where human beings are akin to cattle without ever realizing it - and loosh (negative emotional energy) is being farmed, and events perpetually causing human beings to experience negative emotions are all largely orchestrated. Though why they'd want to exterminate 95% of humanity makes little sense - as I imagine they'd want to keep the farm going in perpetuity.

Anyways - just providing some backdrop to what this whole thing could be.

As far as the film is concerned, however.... there are a lot of, what I'd call, logical fallacies. You'd think that after several years, people would start building bridges between mountains - and/or design various tools for flying/gliding, to go between various mountains - not all require high tech.

All in all, there are a lot of very interesting conspiracy theories out there - plenty of material for making great sci-fi - but it all has to be well done. This films wasn't it - 5/10.

I do like the direction of the premise - these theories do need to be explored - but you need to execute it well - and provide appropriate explanations.

I thought the concept was interesting and I was entertained. They clearly set it up for a part 2 and I would watch it. But please hire better writers for the dialogue. It seemed so forced. Jeez Mackie character was really annoying and half the crap he said to Baccarin was so dumb. It was like the script was originally made for a video game.

My only question is how Baccarin was able to locate Mackie to save his life? How she get there that quick and that very spot?
