The fact this has a 5.4 on IMDb whilst Nosferatu (1922) has a 7.9...
Is irrefutable proof that IMDb is filled with 'cinephile' dorks. It cannot be taken seriously at all. The site should be erased from the internet honestly. Same with Rotten Tomatoes and co'. People shouldn't be allocating numbers to movies.
Movie discourse was organic and free flowing pre-internet.
The Mummy is a well liked movie that gets a lot of play on television. Nosferatu is never on television because everyone would choose to watch something else. It's unwatchable today. Nobody likes it except for 'cinephiles' who think they have to.
Too many people rate movies on outside factors. It's 2023 and you can't convince me that Nosferatu is better than The Mummy.
