Anyone hope this movie will be rated R?
I want to get scared out of my pants. No more PG-13 Mummy movies. Bring on the gore!

shareActually im getting a feeling that this will be R rated considering the fact that Dr.Hyde character is very much dark!!!
Not sure though studio may opt for a PG-13
I'm thinking hard PG 13. No way R especially since it's a cinematic universe. On the other hand Crowe said it is gonna scare the *beep* out of you so who knows.
shareI really hope its rated R..not entirely for the gore I'm just sick of the kid-gloves horror and scifi movies. Pg13 movies can be so damn lame they cant make it as real feeling its so corny when not rated R. You cant have adult themes like that with a pg13 movie unless its very innovative. The cause and effect just isnt there 80% of the time. Dont even show say wolverine stabbing someone with no effect no blood or anything. There are many examples and if its not realistic as possible it ends up being stupid in that type of genre..not gna go near it if its pg13
shareWithout a doubt it will be a hard PG-13. I wish it were R, though.
shareThey will go pg-13. No way they would make it rated r. Which honestly does suck. I like the rest of you want to be scared out of my seat and the only way to accomplish this is with an r rating.
However I will say the only film I have ever seen that scared me truly was The Grudge. The first one was really scary in the theaters and it was rated pg-13. But with a movie like the mummy you are expecting scares more than action.
No way will this be an R rated film. Besides, The Mummy isn't about gore. Watch the classic with Karloff to see what this film is supposed to be.
shareUnlikely, PG-13 generally means the wider the audience, we can at least hope that its a hard PG-13 and its well-crafted horror.
shareThey want this to be the start of their Universal Monster Cinematic Universe. No way it's going to be R.
