I may be on my own little island when I say this, but I loved the 2010 version of The Wolfman starring Benecio Del Toro. I thought that it was a great (updated) re-telling of the original film. What I want to know is if that movie is being considered as part of the revamp of the Universal Monsters universe? I heard that Dracula Untold was supposed to be the first film of the timeline, but I really wasn't all too impressed with it. And what about the others? Frankenstein? The Invisible Man? Bride of Frankenstein? Creature from the Black Lagoon? Are these films going to be made, and if so, is there supposed to be a formula that they will follow, like Frankenstein vs. The Mummy, or Dracula vs. The Werewolf? Sorry if I seem to be prattling about, but I've always been a HUGE Universal Monsters fan and would just like to know exactly where they are beginning and what's in store for us fans out there?

Originally Dracula Untold was suppose to be the start of a new wave of somewhat action oriented updates to the classic horror movie monsters with eventually the end goal of creating an Avengers type movie featuring all of them.

I don't know if Dracula Untold is still apart of the series anymore and perhaps this film is intended to now be the start of the new series. Javier Bardem is being considered for Frankenstein's monster I believe, Johnny Depp for the invisible man, and I thought I heard something about Scarlett Johansson being considered for the creature of the black lagoon film. That's kind of all I've pieced together from various internet articles.
