Doubt it'll be better than 1999 version

Tbh the new trailer of The Mummy 2016 could've been better. Yes I know it's just a trailer. Basically I'm not really sold. Based on what I've seen so far I doubt it'll be better the 1999 version which is one of my favourite films of all time. It had elements of a horror movie while providing some comedic moments.

Overall The Mummy 1999 is fun entertaining film. The Mummy 2016 is probably gonna make a lot of money at the box office. Despite this I doubt it'll be better than The Mummy 1999. What do you guys think?

Brendan Fraser's annoying acting was one of many problems in that movie. I'm so glad that wig-wearing kunt is out of work.

The Mummy (1999) is a personal favorite of mine too, but I'm definitely more open to a more serious take. All hope for Brendan Fraser to stick with the franchise was killed for good after what happened with Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Plus, I couldn't care less how crazy Tom Cruise is in real life. Edge of Tomorrow and the recent Mission: Impossibles were great to solid so that's why I hope this will be good.

I thought the 1999 was alright and am still surprised at how successful it was.

This mummy looks to more of the same, and even though it's the first trailer just gives a taste of the movie.

I love the Brendan Fraser films, but this franchise existed before his movies and it obviously exists afterwards. This is clearly a different kind of film and I'm willing to give it a chance.

Mummy 99 was a freak movie that was WAY better than it should have been. They won't be recreating any of that magic. Anyhow, there's like a hundred mummy movies. I'm sure this one will be better than some and worse than others.
