So Cruise is dead and ressurected

Interesting.

I definitely wasn't expecting him to be dead.

Also the way the director is talking, his character isn't the most noble, either:

"I?ll tell you that he is an amoral, absolutely-out-for-himself guy. I always find stories most interesting when you put a gun in the hands of someone who should absolutely not have one. Tom, both as a movie star and a great actor, has played some of the more morally complicated roles in the last 30 years."

They really pulled that off with him giving the woman the parachute and going down with the ship.

reply

We don't know what his reasoning is doing that. I'll believe them saying he's morally vague since they could have simply just called him the hero.

reply

That was the weirdest part about the trailer for me. I hope there's a within-the-universe explanation like he touched the mummy or the tomb or whatever.

It's also funny how he has no damage to his body, no missing limbs and his hair is perfect. WTF?

reply

Hopefully, when the next trailer hits, we'll get a better look on what the movie will actually be about.

reply

Maybe he becomes a vampire

reply

Im assuming its a Van Helsing thing since he is making that movie.

reply

FFS, Tom Cruise is not playing Van Helsing. His character's name is Nick Morton. He is dealing with a curse. As in, from the mummy.

Descendant of Van Helsing. He is making a Van Helsing movie you know.

reply

No HE isn't. Rumors from five or six years ago don't have any bearing on this. A Van Helsing movie IS in active development, but Tom Cruise is not slated to star in it.

not a 5 or 6 year old rumor but whatever. its just an assumption. would be a cool twist. Im probably wrong. who knows.

reply

He left the Van Helsing reboot, dude. He signed on to this film as a separate character.
