He hogs up all the action movies nowadays...like come on..he has his MI franchise and jack reacher 1 and 2 and oblivion and edge of tomorrow. He was the go to action star back in the day but he's already done alot. He's 54 and there's so many up and coming young actors these days that could have had this role. Now Cruise will have yet another big budget franchise along with his other ones.

He's not at all overrated. Cruise has talent, charisma, a long-lasting career that's unheard of and a ridiculous work ethic these young, mediocre actors can only dream of.
Like him or not, Tom Cruise is a rarity in Hollywood.
