That trailer was so unintentionally funny, which is the worst kind of bad. How do I get in touch with the Universal executives? I'd be happy to cut a better trailer for free. The original Universal Monster universe was a huge part of why I got into movies, and I'd hate to see a revival start off on the wrong foot.

The Mummy (1999) had a way better trailer and it's a classic now.

Definitely not a classic, nowhere near as good as the Karloff film.

Karloff's Mummy was horror.

Brendon's was fantasy-action.

Different genres, different focus.

I hope by focusing the trailer on the first action-packed half (the plane crash), they're intentionally hiding the "twist" of it being more on the horror side.
