Is this supposed to be a reboot of the original Mummy, with Brandon Fraser?

The original Mummy didn't have Brendan Fraser. The original The Mummy came out in 1932. The one with Fraser was a remake.

This is a reboot of the whole franchise, intended to start a new shared universe for the classic Universal monsters.
