Seriously, you did not want to piss off Sekhmet. She would rip you apart and drink your blood... and that's if she was in a good mood.
'Cept for kids. She had a soft spot for the kiddies.
And she was a sleep drunk. Booze was her one weakness! (The day is saved by Budweiser, lol! Product placement! Think of the ad revenue!)
Because it's a remake of the original movie from 1932, which in Hollywood language translates to 'change everything and make it stupid', so obviously they won't go with the smart, educated choice of using Sekhmet, that's too smart. They'll just make it a gender-swap of the original character, change the name, change the backstory, change everything in fact, and then insist it's a remake of a movie we love.
