Unfortunately, this is what happens when idiots roam free...
If the majority of the users had been less selfish and obnoxious bashing every film/actor/thread/poster/etc.. perhaps we, real movie lovers, would still have the message board and we could keep exchanging opinions and insights as we did for the last 15 years.
