Laundry

Do they really launder all the guest sheets, towels, etc in that tiny laundry room along with their uniforms and personal clothes? The machines look like the tiny kind you get in a studio apartment. Why not use a professional laundering service? Are the sheets and towels sterile and clean enough for each new set of guests after being crammed in those tiny machines, using limited water supplies on board?

there's a lot of machines though, running almost 24/7

Even though they’re small, they still look like commercial machines to me.

I think it’s smart to have multiple small machines rather than a couple of huge industrial size ones, as it seems they would most likely have lots of small batches of various temperatures, speeds, and laundry products ( with bleach, with fabric softener, etc.). Crew uniforms and guest towels seem like the only batches that would need to be huge, and they can just do the, in multiple machines.

Ditto with dryers: lots of small batches at various temperature settings.

I thought it was gross, though, when Hannah on BDM told Jess they don’t wash the bedspreads between clients/guests. G.R.O.S.S!!!!!!
