I'm sure that was exactly why their tip wasn't huge. Im sure that they thought it was nervy of Ben to act all put out about cooking their meals when they wanted them. This is a service industry and it should be what the clients want, when they want it. Hearing it all also probably made them feel uncomfortable. They could have stayed on their own yachts and just hired a stew and chef as there didn't seem to be anything outstanding about their 'Below Deck' cruise.
Ben was wrong to act put out by having to cook dinner, but Kate was worse by telling the guests Ben was put out. It was really bad to have a loud argument in earshot of guests. I would expect behavior like that at McDonald's but not on a luxury yacht!
I was just on the Below Deck facebook page and one of the guests were commenting. Seems that they did a lot of fun stuff that we didn't get to see. They had a disco party. He said that yes, they could hear them arguing but it really wasn't that bad.
I thought it was strange that Ben kept pushing the clambake as "dinner." Of course the guests would be hungry later. If anything, the clambake should have been earlier, at about 3:00pm. Then the guests could have a nice dinner at 9:00pm. In this case Ben was being lazy because he didn't want to cook two "dinners."
For the price these people pay for these charters they should be able to order dinner every hour on the hour round the clock! I am a Ben fan but he was way way off on this one.
I hate eating outdoors. Why do people love it so much? I don't even want to have drinks outdoors if I can help it. Ugh. I hate summer and mosquitoes and gnats and sweating.
Didn't Captain Lee also say something about sand fleas out there?
Oh yes, if I eat outdoors, I also get eaten by mosquitos. In fact, I'm so tasty to them that people I'm with rarely get more than a bite or two, whereas I have multiple bites, even if I wear jeans. They even bite my face!.
Do you know if you have type O blood? They love it the most and can smell it inside of you from incredibly far away. That's why I get eaten up and no one else around me gets bitten. I got swarmed recently and had an allergic reaction to the protein they inject into you to keep your blood from clotting, so it's easier for them to suck the blood up. I was super sick for over a week. I think that's why I'm especially hateful towards the outdoors and heat and bugs right now. So, I'm basically never going outside again until winter.
I have O+ and am one of the lucky ones who naturally repel insects. Not always the case, I was a bug magnet as a kid. So you might have a point about the type Os. What has changed for me, hmmm? Maybe it's coffee? I tend to drink 4-5 cups a day.
