What was in Emily's panties?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I noticed, after the scene where Sierra dropped the plate and Kate let Emily retire for the evening, they showed Emily in her quarters removing her uniform. When her back was to the screen you could see an outline of something protruding from her panties just above her butcrack. I wanna say it looked like a Gumby doll. But I can't for the life of me fathom what it may be. It surely was not something kinky so it must have been a lady product? 

I did not notice it, but it could have been the battery pack for the microphone.

Hmmm... maybe. I see that they hold the battery pack(?) around their waists, held by an ace bandage type thing. But this didn't seem connected to whatever was in her underwear.

IDK Anybody else have any thoughts? Pause that scene and take a good look.

I saw a glimpse of it and it looked like part of the microphone/battery pack to me also.

Haha, right? Unless it's one of those weird old timey pad belts that I've only heard about from old lady urban legends.

But it was shaped like a doll with it's arms open.

Does anyone have a photo of what one of those looks like. Because it seems different than any I have ever seen.

Ok I did. And he showed me lots of pics of mics, but none that look like what might be in Emily's undies. The mic pack is what houses the batteries. And that is kept securely around their waists inside the ace bandage wrap.

Is there another piece that ALL the crew members need to keep in their underwear? I don't think so people.

Anyone else?

Did you Ask Jeeves about old timey period pad belts?

I still remember Rocky stripping down so she could take off all that equipment before jumping the water to make a run for it! She was distraught due to her bad treatment by Eddie I guess! 
