It's painful to watch Kelley in a leadership position

Just from watching the latest episodes, it's clear that he has little ability to be a leader. He blew up at Sierra due to his own insecurities. In addition, he made several errors in front of Captain Lee. It's sad when the Captain feels like he has to babysit the boatswain.

I'm not a huge fan of Eddie, especially after his deeds last season, but he clearly was able to work with his crew better than Kelley. I would have liked to see Connie as boatswain this season since Captain Lee seemed very impressed by her.

Yes; bring back Jason Priestley! Kelley has the hotter bod, but such a jerk in too many ways to count! You see him on WWHL last night with Nico? Poor Nico felt compelled to suck up to his boss; big time! There's some insecurity showing on all sides for that kind of slobbering in TV! 

I'm not an Eddie fan either, but I feel like he was a somewhat better leader than Kelley. Kelley is way too interested in the social aspect of being on the boat and not being a boss. Who could respect him while he acts that way?

Another poster said he behaved as if he'd never dealt with a woman. I agree. There's something that just SCREAMS immature about him. I think he has tried to do a good job, but his poor judgment (mooning over a guest, mooning over Emily, throwing a tantrum when she chose Ben, yelling at Sierra, causing a fire hazard) all say he's not boss material yet.
