The visits from Ashley and Ben's brother

Does the show pay for these people's trip to add to the storyline?

Ben said that his brother was a businessman. How does he just drop everything and fly from England to the BVI for two nights and a day? He and Ben had supper together, then Ben worked all day. The brother was allowed to come by to say goodbye and the Captain had to tell him to leave. That seems like an awful lot of traveling for not much interaction.

Ashely's visit was much the same thing. Also, it has been said that there is one charter left. So that means what...the season is over in three days? If you have waited five and a half weeks to see someone, why spend the money to fly that far when you will see the in less than a week.

We know Ben's brother has money, so the expense would not be that big of a deal for him, but what about Ashley. I got the impression that she is not well off at all. Plus she has all those expensed with her transition.

Just seems like a lot of effort on the guests part for little reward.
