The 'rough part of Vegas'?
If that's really the rough part of Vegas, it must be the richest city on Earth.

I could care less, but I don’t care enough to bother.

Ever been to Vegas?
Ever see the sex ads, and pictures nude women that are thrown on the street right next to the daily news papers?
Vegas has its bad areas.
I just meant the part where he goes and says this is the "rough" part of Vegas. It just didn't look that rough. Decent enough looking late model McMansions. I thought the old guy wasn't coming to the door because he was scared, but no, it's just because he was asleep. You'd think they could ham it up a bit and have somebody come up to them with a knife. Of course, they look like carjackers themselves.

I have been thinking that Las Vegas would be a nice place to retire to because it's warm, has lots of places to see and dine out at, and it has Lake Mead close by, but then I accidentially watched a Vegas reality cop show called "Vegas Strip" where the cops patrol the strip at night. I was totally surprised to see how "strange" things get after dark. Although it looked like drunkeness was the prevalent crime, I remember a construction site I visited with my husband several years ago there and the homeless people were quite numerous. I could see there definately being a "rough side of town" after dark.
Of course if you're a local and you know that a part of town is less than desirable, having a "biker dude" come knocking on your car window could be pretty scairy. I am surprised Danny & Kevin haven't had a gun pulled on them.
Note to Danny: "If you see a gun...run. It's harder to hit a moving target!" :-)
I own a voodoo doll . . . don't make me use it!
Count's Kustoms is behind (to the west of) the Circus Circus hotel & casino, just south of W Sahara Ave. It is an industrial park area between Las Vegas Blvd and I-15. I haven't seen any graffiti or anything anywhere near it. It's too much trouble to get to for anyone to go back there to do 'bad' things.
Thanks for that info Tim. Wish I'd known that 5 years ago when I was last in Vegas. We stayed at Circus Circus too, I would have gone over to check out the shop.
