Why he is The Count

For those of you who are NOT in the know, here's a history lesson on who Danny really is. Us Las Vegas locals used to watch him all the time. Quite an entertaining fellow.

I believe this was mentioned in one of the latest episodes...

He used to host a Saturday Night Horror Movie Show on local television in Las Vegas. He was known as Count Cool Rider. Basically, he was kind of a male version of Elvira.

Cycle, when he first started appearing on episodes of Pawn Stars, I thought he looked a bit familiar. And after a bit, I realized that I've seen some of the episodes that he hosted. Some, or maybe all of the shows he did were syndicated on a cable channel, though I don't remember which one. It's been a little while. But, this also explains how him and Cassandra Peterson(Elvira), are such good friends.

I know people have their complaints about "Counting Cars". I'd like to see a little more of the shop work and the building of the cars they knock out. But I enjoy the show, and I like Danny. Granted, he's a business man. But, he seems like a real cool cat with just a big love and passion for old cars and bikes. He's got that outgoing personality that makes him approachable, and probably a fun guy to talk to. Plus, you watch those old shows, and shows you how resourceful Danny is in the things he's done in his life.

This weekend, the Republic Of Texas Bike Rally is taking place in Austin, TX. Count Customs built a bike for this rally, to be raffled off, only for veterans and active servicemen...which I think is pretty cool. But, Danny and some of the other guys have brought the bike out here personally, and will be here for the duration of the rally. I'm in a band that's performing at the rally. So, tomorrow, they're throwing a catered, VIP get-together for a few of the bands and featured guests just to hang out, eat barbeque, get out of the heat and avoid the masses for awhile. So, I'm looking forward to hanging out with those guys. Would be fun to hang out, talk to Danny a bit about cars and stuff, with no cameras around to film it all. Just everyone laid back and hanging out. Probably drive my '60 Coupe De Ville down there. Of course, should it come up in conversation, I'll make it clear that my car is NOT FOR SALE!! But, if he wants to check it out and take it for a quick cruise, he's more than welcome. It's all gonna make for a fun weekend!
