At best, have this movie playing silently in the background at a party..

...but by no means don't actually watch it. From a distance, without sound, you can imagine far more interesting things are transpiring within all the production design than what is actually being presented onscreen as "story" and "characters".

Re-watching it right now and had to upgrade it from 8 to 9.

Yeah, like most Gilliam movies it bears careful watching more than once.
