I'm not watching this thing. I watched Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire instead. There is no way this cheap Japanese production can match the might of the American blockbuster.
GxK has Godzilla, KING KONG and Rebecca Hall.
G-1 has Godzilla and some Japanese people.

I am 72 years young as of this post, and I remember seeing several of the old Godzilla movies in theaters. And while I will admit that some of them were basically kiddie fare, this new Godzilla is all death and destruction instead of being some enormous superhero.
On the budget that the producers had to work with, they accomplished the incredible.
A Godzilla that out classes many of the Japanese films that have preceded it, and gave, from my viewpoint anyways, a very engaging story from the human perspective.
