I don't understand the title... minus 1? What does that mean?

Found this

Godzilla Minus One is meant to represent the effect of his attack on Japan. The country was already at zero and in the initial stages of a complete rebuild, and the title's equation of Godzilla - 1 is a numerical way to represent that the country couldn't sink to a lower depth.
