The real story is that the visual effects only cost US $15 million.

The Japanese team involved should be hired by USA producers, especially for those who don't have $200 million to make a movie.

Haven't seen it, but from the trailers and what I've heard it sounds like it was a well deserved win.

I honestly thought some of the major sequences looked pretty subpar but I nonetheless rooted for it against bigger films like Guardians 3.
