Yes it was not best movie in the world but It was not the worse either. I think people are upset because it made money, it was chick flick, the guys wanted a porn movie in there desire and trolls just hate everything. Wonderland Exile
Your post nails it...and so much hate...I really wonder why someone would spend that amount of time posting about something/someone they hated?...dang..I spend enough time I the things I enjoy..and the box office smash comment it true..hundreds of posts before the movie premiered, said it was going to tank big time...sorry about that...it didn't.
Agreed...it didn't tank. I wonder why? Must have been an audience for it. To the people bitching about this movie...why not invest you'r time in something you like? Good point well made =)
Yeah, I know, but some people just like to rant..it's fun sometimes to click on their name, and see everything else they rant about..most seem to have a very unhappy life.
You have to understand the disappointment, the book was one of the most talked about best-sellers of the year, dubbed 'mummy porn' because of the way it was getting middle-aged bored housewives all excited (even though a lot of us, myself included, found the book to be pretty badly written) so when they hear a film adaptation is being made they probably got themselves all worked up, assuming it would be as sexy and x-rated as they pictured it in their minds. First disappointment - the actors chosen to play the lead roles. The opinions were divided over Dakota and Jamie but people still had faith, thinking it could work. Then the film is made and it was just a borefest... imo anyways
No excitement, wrong music, the scenes were too quick, they cut out a lot of the good dialogue. The acting was pretty crap, I'm sorry but I thought it was. Seemed liked a bunch of human-resembling robots just reading out their lines. No passion in their relationship, no passion in the acting, no passion in the the sex scenes. Just down and out dullness.
Complete fail... which is quite sad because I love Sam Taylor-Johnsons other films.
Yes, that is it, most of it at least. There was very much talk about the book. I don't understand why there was so much talk, there seems to be something they are not telling us. There has got to be some reason (beyond the story itself) why it got so much attention.
Even the title is a disappointment. It is not inspiring or very creative. I did not know what "Fifty Shades of Gray" meant but now I know it means that everyone has variety in them.
