Disappointed about the ending:

Okay, I will start off first by letting everyone know I have not read the book, so I can't compare the book to the movie. So I can only judge the movie itself.

I finally got around to watching this movie. It just ended about 15 minutes ago. It was more sexual than I expected it to be, and I didn't realized it was gonna be quite like that. The movie itself was okay, and I think they had good chemistry. Not the best chemistry I ever seen between 2 people on screen, but it was still good. I liked that she was able to control her desire towards the end when she realized she wanted more than just a sexual relationship with him. It's not always easy to control the hormones. Anyhoo, I liked seeing that he was miserable too because she was no longer around, and I saw him get up from his chair at the office, expecting them to reunite when he reveals to her he's in love with her too, but than, just out of nowhere, in that moment, the credits came on the screen. I was shocked..... it feels like the movie didn't end. I hate movies that do that. If this is the way it ended in the book too, or at least similar. I probably wont't the book either. For me, most of the time, if the ending sucks, it doesn't matter what led up to it. If the ending stinks, I don't like the movie. So, I was really disappointed how the movie ended. Does anyone like the ending? I think those 2 should of reunited with how they had all that sexual chemistry, and showing the love developing between the 2..... just to end the movie the way they did. Well, that's what I think!!!!

Two more books/two more movies

That explains it. I didn't know there was more than one book. Are they planning for another movie???

There are 4 books... 50 Shades of Grey...50 Shades Darker...50 Shades Freed...and Grey...which is the first book, but from Christian's point of view, and one of my favorites as it really gives depth to Christian and why he does the things he does....and yes, the next two movies were filmed together from Jan to July....the next 50 Shades Darker comes out Feb of 2017...and 50 Shades Freed in Feb 2018....and the movie ended with the elevator scene...and the alternate ending was like the book...showing Christian devastated that Ana is gone, and Ana crying her eyes out..but the next two movies/books have happy endings.

You saw the extended version of the movie. The theatrical version ended with the elevator door closing after "Ana" "Christian." When the movie first came out it was controversial. I think the fast theatrical version of the movie is the better ending by far.

The main problem I had with the movie ending compared to the book...it didn't show the devastation that Christian was going through...the movie just kinds of ends like he just lets her go and that is that..but he suffers right along with Ana..and this is a whole new thing for him, he always got tired of the sub, and was on to the next one...and one thing I love that EL does for Christian in the next two books, or in Grey...he gets this strange, unknown felling inside..and it frightens him, because he has never felt it before, and isn't sure what it is...usually happens after they make love...or when they are doing something just fun.

Hell...the 1st time I watched the movie...I was blind sided... I thought this movie sucked. Nothing was shown through the book. I was at a complete loss. They did a *beep* job. Finally, when I read the books...I got my answers After reading them a few times... I GET the movie. When I finally read the books I could make the movie work for me. Let's hope the next one is even better.
