Grey is sexy! But not a true sadist or BDSM!

IMO Jamie Dorman was perfect for that role! As Christian Grey character i loved the attitude, the power, the control over her, everything was just enough for a woman to fall for him. Succesful, gorgeous and sexy. but.......Grey didn't look at all as a Dominate to me! Nothing sadistic! She had a lot control over him, sometimes she was even manipulating him! He never pushed her do anything, and he was gentle, not as a normal guy but for the role of a sadist he was too gentle. Of course I have never lived such a situation, but I have met men who doesn't like to show their feelings, don't like to be touched, talk a little, are gentle but they were crueler in attitude and words and feelings, more painful than really slapping or whipping you!! I found them quite sadistic. Grey was not like that! He was really respectful to her. and he was flirting her! Nothing bad! The BDSM thing is really personal. If this was a real BDSM she wouldn't get away that easily! Of course I have only seen this movie. Haven't read the books.
I'd like to read your opinions about how a real BDSM couple would act. Would he be so patient with her? Would she be so ......I don't know, one moment she's offended other she wants to try. IMO again, if I were a virgin, and the man I would fall for, knowing him so little, would showed me the play room, I would have been still running away!!!!!!!

We get very little info from the author in the books about Christian's previous relationships with his Subs.. the contract information is the easiest way to determine what is expected from both the Dom and the Sub, and that was quite detailed....not sure if this is standard in the BDSM world?..and in 50 Shades,Christian tells her of all his firsts, which he did not do before he met Ana...I believe he didn't want to frighten her the first few times in the Red Room, so it was more kinky sex than true BDSM..kind of do a warm up...and we do know his room was set up for all kinds of shenanigans..

But it only serves as a background for Christian and Ana...he is never her Dom..she is never his Sub..no contract is ever signed..probably the loss of control when he was using the belt on Ana was the closest we would see his dominant side...you can see him being taken over by the thrill of beating her...to me, it was quite scary..we get a little more info in Darker as his past comes back..and she sees a side of Christian that is troubling..
