Sometimes people are very attached to their cars. Often particularly cars like veedub beetles. I have a 96 ford, which although is nothing special has sentimental value to me and I'll never sell it.

Well he replaced her car like all of the other subs so he treats Ana like a sub. He only realizes she is a person after he beats her so...you...know...he's...kind...of like a stalker, jerk, enjoys hurting people and it's an insult to women and sets up unrealistic expectations for men..so yeah but that's okay because he's never had a "real girlfriend ".

The whole point was he took her car...bought her a new Audi..and yes..that is Christian's way...not saying right or wrong..it is authors story to tell..and this is her story...does it have to make sense?..of course not..but you see other things he does with that same type of behavior..it's called pattern...and he has to learn to break that bad behavior...takes a while though..
