Why did the vines attack?
Definitely a few things about this film that confused me a bit. First off it felt like some scenes were maybe missing? Like the 2nd time Beast and Belle have dinner he asks if he thought about her proposal and I really don't remember them speaking of love before that.
Also don't know the point of turning cute beagle dogs into.....CG cartoony beagle dogs?
My biggest question was about the vines attacking at the end. The father of the forest punished him by turning him into a beast right? So why did he have the power to control the statues? Why when he almost died did the vines attack? Why would he care if men killed the man that killed his daughter?
Why did there feel like such a disconnect between Belle and the beast? Other than a short dance scene that abruptly ended with a fight there was no time for them to fall in love. At which point did she love him?
Felt like maybe things didn't go well in the editing room or something. Very pretty film tho.
