Gives Maleficent a run for its money ...
Seriously this movie was amazing! Disney should have hired Christophe Gans to do Maleficent, because he could have really done the villain justice compared to the stanching pile that actually happened.

That was the best part. The concept was so much better than the execution of that concept. The director was a visual effects designer and it shows. He spends lots of time on visuals and then skips over character development and plot. All the old fairy tales were like this! The kings and noblemen were generally scary and the weirder forces misunderstood or just a force of nature that doesn't work like a human works.
