Alien: Covenant Trailer #2 arrives

What I don't get, it incorporates the recent Prologue into the beginning of the trailer, but that clip was directed by Ridley's son, Luke.

Have they done this before? Put in what is essentially marketing footage (from a different director) into an official trailer?

As for the trailer, I liked the first half. Hard to form an opinion on the second half, since it looks like the typical killing and dying in every Alien film, but with crazy cuts going on. My guess is this wasn't Ridley's decision, and FOX cut this together.

the action scenes in the 2nd half of the trailer don't look appealing,

danny mcbride looks to be getting a lot of screentime, which is good IMHO

Yes, that is what I hoped for. Really cool to him playing something different than the Kenny Powers type of character. Even though I'm a huge fan of KP!

Don't know what to make of the trailer, it was rather messy. At least visually it looks stunning, which was to be expected. Can't wait to see the movie on the big screen.

Stupid me thought Noomi Rapace would be in the film, but now I've realised that there will probably only be a flashback scene.

So the Covenant arrives with colonising 'couples', just like that? You would think they'd had sent 'scouts' first to check if everything was in good order, if it was a viable planet to live in.

Oh and I agree, I like the first half of the trailer better than the 2nd half.

Still, I think its looking better than I expected, so I'm looking forward to the film.

The thing is, the better the trailer...the worse the movie, so it's actually a good thing for it not to be that great.

Are you trapped in Pandora's box/vase?

Oh my, that looks terrible. The cgi aliens look terrible, half of the crew look like models, the goofy cgi guy hanging from a rope from the cgi starship looks awful too. I won't even want to see this one when it comes to DVD. Hollywood needs to stop making prequels, sequels, reboots and super hero movies. This is exactly the reason that I stopped watching tv and movies around ten years ago. I simply do not feel as if I am missing anything by not watching stuff like this. Hollywood is a creatively bankrupt industry.

OMG, CGI! Whoever invented that is going to Hell!

What's wrong with people wearing rubber suits? It worked well 50 years ago.
