Eyes Wide Shut

I can't understand why nobody else has picked up on all the director's obvious references to Eyes Wide Shut throughout this film. The husband having a pee with the door open, her later having a pee with him in the same room, walking around with her tights on and nothing else, the repeated references to the eyes open orgasm, the husband saying at the end 'I was asleep', even one shot from their final sex scene was an exact copy of a shot in Eyes Wide Shut. This is clearly meant to be the female version of that film, and is basically the same storyline. There is a married couple who have started to take each other for granted, and then the main character takes a walk on the wild side and is horrified by what they see, and decides to come back to the safety of their family.
