Promising
This film had a ton of promise that actually aims at the young teen audience, especially young teen girls. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that which shows how a young girl can become self sufficient and tough under threatening horrifying conditions. I'm all in favor of that but the relationship she develops with a young man during the course of her development for survival seemed unrealistic and lacked any true chemistry. I'm a fan of Chloe Grace Moretz acting skills and as disappointing as the script was at times she helped salvage the film from complete failure. It is worth the time to watch even for nothing else the special effects. The end of the film suggests a sequel(s) but I would recommend a tv series rather than movies. It could compete with existing ScI-fi Programing featuring a young cast such as The 100.
