Is it getting better?

I read about this show in a newspaper where it got rave reivews - after the first two episodes i'm puzzled why. The opening sequence with the door number was cheap. I mean, it could happen but it seems like a very unlikely event.

After this Tony gets questioned about getting a free coffee after he stopped a robbery. It seems just like an easy way for the writers to have him reviewed. Not to mention the hunch which gets the investigator to go there to question the waitress.

The whole thing seems just so forced and unbelievable. So, is it getting better after this?

Based on your post, I do not think you will find it getting better.

However I loved the show and am in the middle of and very much now enjoying the second series. After watching Hinterland and Shetland which are both a bit marginal in comparison, Line of Duty is really good in my opinion.
