Quote from Episode 1
"You take a shot at the King, make sure you kill him, son."
Totally ripped off from 'The Wire' - "You come at the king, you best not miss".
Except the from The Wire is way cooler.

Perhaps Gates is a fan of The Wire?
"No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?"
Lots of people have recognised the line from the Wire. But it's actually a quote from an American author from over a hundred years ago, Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's something like "If you shoot at a king, you better kill him." It was a well known expression long before the Wire.
shareJust in case fans of The Wire need a shout from the past, here's one for you. Jamie Hector (Marlo Stanfield) plays an L.A.P.D. detective in a pretty decent cop show from Amazon called Bosch. The series includes Lance Reddick (Cedric Daniels) plays a character that is similar to his role in The Wire.
I guess if Idris Elba can portray super-detective Luther and Dominic West is terrific as the outrageous bon vivant queen in Pride, we can allow Jamie Hector to change hats. However, I just don't see Snoop on "The Big Bang Theory".
