Will there be a second series?

Will there be a second series or is this just a one off series>

reply

I dunno, but I'd love another series so they can try and build up a case against Dot and Tommy! :)

reply

I think you rather missed the point.

What is it with people and second seasons, series or whatever. If you wanna watch something like that go watch CSI or something...lot of seasons for you.
It was good the way it was. It's closed and done. Don't make it into another generic show that just shows one case after another without any conclusion.

I'm not sure what's wrong with second seasons?! I liked all the seasons of The Wire and The Sopranos, Deadwood, Breaking Bad to name a few. I for one am glad that great TV shows get more than on season. I understand that there is also a lot of crap out there that go on year after year, but then again you don't have to watch them, I don't.

Guys who created a good season, it is logical to continue trying to make other seasons in the same level too. If a viewer does not want to continue watching the show, cause it MIGHT not be as good as the debute season, can always just quit on the show.

It is very possible to create a nice second or third season too. Otherwise, all good series would have only one season.

Yes there is DEFINITELY a second series, it's being filmed as we speak.

reply

Yes it is currently being filmed in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The second series has just finished and it was more superior than the first. For those who are flummoxed (there's always plenty of them) there is obviously going to be a third series, because the writer - and BBC - want it that way.

There are too many dubious (police) characters in it: the writer must hate the UK coppers. Having said that, some of the police corruption and proven cover-ups lately make one wonder if he's got them spot on.

reply

Apparently all anti-corruption police in the UK are either stupid, self-interested or more corrupt that the officers they are investigating. I use the word "investigating" lightly as the work done on the officers in question in the 1st 2 series bears no resemblance to it whatsoever. It appears to solely a case of "lets pick an officer randomly and screw them over".

The writer may or may not hate UK coppers but it is certain that he has no writing skills at all.

reply

Yes, and a third and fourth. Per Wikipedia.
