I'm really disappointed that there won't be another season of Dracula. I really grew to like the show in season 1. It started out kind of so-so, but I started to get into it by episode 3 or 4. I wish another channel would consider reviving it.

In Count Talavar's case, I believe it is because he has an interest in all things Dracula. But if movie critiques and discussion were limited to fanboys only, they wouldn't be worth much. It would just be people saying back and forth "It rocked!" "I know! It rulez!" Sometimes there's value in discussing exactly what it was about a work that kept it from reaching par. Unfortunately, far too many people on IMDB cannot see the difference between honest criticism and mindless bashing.

If Dracula fans have their way there will be a Season 2 on a different Network. There is a huge Twitter campaign to hopefully accomplish this.

This whole "new season from a different network" story sure is being pushed here, but I just don't see it happening. Ever.
I wish people would realize that spamming the IMDB boards is not going to get a new season. Spamming Twitter is not going to get a new season. Spamming Farcebook and other social media websites is not going to get a new season. And tactics such as online petitions and spreading phony stories are not going to get a new season. For production companies, this is a BUSINESS decision. It will be made solely on the basis of whether or not it looks like a good business decision, which means number of viewers and DVD/BluRay sales, not how long the diehard fans whine.
Yes, this is an edited comment from another thread. But if it's okay to open DOZENS of threads on the topic of wanting a new season with HUNDREDS of comments that all boil down to "I wish there would be another season.", then it sure ought to be okay for those of us who are being prevented from actually discussing the show by the incessant whiny spam to cut and paste our responses to it.

I think everyone wishes there was at least a season 2. I purchased the series and I'm re watching it now and this show was so well done on so many levels!
