Coming a day after seeing Inside Out no less. Humorless. Colorless. Uninspired.

Haven't seen the original DM, but I heard it had a lot of heart and deserved its success. So let's be fair to other studios. Disney is also guilty of making lesser films for a quick buck. In fact, in the 90s, they did this all the time; they were called direct-to-video sequels, but today, big studios have discovered they can milk franchises through big screen releases. Back to Disney today - I haven't seen Cars 2, but that's a notorious example of a profitable, but non critically well received film, but to Pixars credit, it's their only dud.

Anyway, Disney may be more consistent, but they are also guilty of making profit by brand name only as long as you assume that if its not Disney, it's not good, or vice versa (which I know you didn't directly say).

That pretty much describes it in a nutshell. It was HORRENDOUSLY boring.

You just can't make a movie with minions apparently, that or their idea of comedy for children is just not very humorous.. Nothing of value happened, nothing that would warrant your children going to see it for any sort of entertainment worth.

I'd rather let them rent something else for the screen at home where at least you can make s'mores or something.

Jesus Christ... Relax. My kids laughed - it's meant for kids. Therefore it was a success.

I hope you aren't counting on Pixar to teach your kids valuable life lessons...?

There are a plethora of animated movies that are meant for kids that adults can enjoy.

If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.

Kids owe us big don't they? Watching something like Inside Out with them is a treat but sitting through crap like this makes me want to pull out my hair.

honestly, if it was a bad experience for you, then it's your own fault. The film delivered exactly what it promised and it does not take a genius to figure out what that is upfront.

I agree with the op, but I'm going to be more generous because I'm a nice guy who buys flowers and condoms for gay men. The film is full of toilet humor jokes that are stale and humorless, some are actually very offensive in a kid's film lol. Overall, the movie is made for people who like retarded films. If you're in the mood for retarded entertainment then you're going to enjoy it alot. 4/10
