So this thing is making money, does that mean sequel?

I know they are doing a Despicable Me 3 already but does the success of this mean that they're going to go for more standalone minion movies.

I like them in small doses. This movie was fine but kinda tiresome after a while.

I love minions too, but watched the movie last night and felt that it should have just been a short instead of full length.

I might like a young gru/minions movie to anything else in the pipeline.

Yes...movies that make money (and sell lots of merchandise) will always return.

I doubt it, they should just stick with the main series. The Minions are better as supporting characters. One movie was alright, but two would be pushing it.

These aren't going away. Disney made like 8 of those talking puppies "Buddies" movies. Get started on the script for the dark minions movie where they lead some sort of Hunger Games revolution. I saw the trailer for the newest Peter Pan flik when I saw Minions. Absolute crap.

Hard to say, though it is possible. I agree, the minions work much better as side characters rather than the star of their own movie. The movie had some funny scenes, a couple even straight up hilarious, but definitely a big step down from the two Despicable Me movies.
