People walked out

At least 15% of the people in my screening walked out within 30 minutes, including little kids. I'd have walked out too if someone else didn't pay for my ticket. I don't understand the rating. 3/10

And don't waste time reading this line, it's just my pointless signature.

Was you in an audience of idiots with no sense of humour?

Was you in an audience of idiots with no sense of humour Yes well this movie doesn't suit everyone you have to have a certain sense of humour to enjoy this movie if you don't your just wasting a ticket.

reply

yeeeaaah, sure. ;)

reply

My viewing was filled with adults (this was the original/undubbed version) and they laughed their ass off.
I liked it. No masterpiece of course, but it was silly fun

reply

Same here. We all laughed during the whole film. Minions is a lovely film, and I even felt sad for Bob.

No more GA!

reply

Why did they walk out?
Due to all the sex and violence?!

reply

Must have been all the nudity ;)

I wish people would stop lying about these things.

reply

I wasn't lying. Maybe us snobby Europeans are not as easily amused.

reply

Sorry, still not convinced. I'm a European myself and did not notice any such thing.

Apparently I'm a snobby American because I walked out, too. First time in my life I've walked out of a film but it was so aggressively awful and boring that I couldn't imagine losing another 45 minutes of my life to that dreck.

reply

on the contarry it seems, its the americans that have the walking out tradition, europeans tend to sit all the way through.

i'm amazed at the number of these threads on imdb. with so many people who claim to have walked out of movies and demanded a refund, i have yet to see any such instance. i've been a very regular movie goer for 35 years, so i would like to think that i'd have been to a movie with this scenario. now, i will say that i've been the only person in quite a few showings, but never witnessed anyone walk out in disgust.

Go away, or I shall taunt you a second time!

To be fair, I didn't demand a refund. Unless the film projector actually breaks or there's some other malfunction, no one should actually get a refund for not liking a movie and leaving early.

Its beyond stupid to walk out a movie after 30 minutes. If you pay money to see a movie in theatre, stay until the end.

reply

Sunk cost fallacy. I wasted 30 minutes of my life, might as well waste another hour, right?

You should read this article: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/how-the-sunk-cost-fallacy-makes-you-act-stupid.html

reply

Who are all these people who walk out on movies that they pay to see? I'll change the channel one a film on TV, but I have *NEVER* walked out of a movie I paid twelve bucks to see.

reply

Not surprised in the slightest. Just an hour and a half if bumbling minions speaking gibberish.
