Interesting subplot

I actually liked this movie. I went in with low expectations and found out it wasn't that bad. Sure it was lack a little, was annoying at certain points, overdosed on some of the humor, and wasn't my favorite animates film. But I still liked it and don't see why so many people hated it. It had good humor that both kids and adults could laugh at with a mature yet fun plot.

However, when I watched it again, I realized a subplot during the scene when they drop the chandelier on Scarlet. The minions are always leading to the demise of their bosses when they're trying to help them out. And now, they just killed their boss again and are stuck in the never ending loop of killing their boss. However, Scarlet refuses to go down and surprises everyone by emerging from under the chandelier, breaking the loop and making her a stronger and more evil villain than the other bosses. Simple scene, but might have had a big meaning to it.

I wonder if that means they'll eventually kill Gru. Maybe them turning into the purple minions in the 2nd Despicable Me was they one time, but they failed again. Does that mean Gru is another strong villian?

Over analyzing this lol
