I don't know if it's because we saw the trailer a minion times, excuse me, a million times, or what, but we kept looking over at our son sitting next to us in the theater, and he had a blank look on his face for the majority of the movie. I personally, thought it could have been a lot better. I think my problem with the movie, is that Gru was not in it until the very last, and that's when I started smiling. It's kinda like chocolate without the peanut butter. Anyways, that's my two cents. Thanks for reading.

Yeah, My daughter giggled a couple times while I silently groaned my way through. The music was nice but couldn't save it. I think I'm changing my rating of 6 to a 5. But then I saw Hotel Transylvania 2 and it was worse than this! Ugh. Minions and HT2 make Home and Inside Out look incredible

Those are not at all fair comparisons. Minions is a cold cash grab with the basest of slapstick. HT2 is a true kids' movie (i.e. not for everyone like Inside Out) done right with good slapstick and clear effort behind it. And to compare Inside Out to Home is an insult.

If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.

Your kid, clearly lacks humor. Look, are you tryin to say he's a smart-ass? Cause a normal 6 year old kid would enjoy all kinds of humor.

Sucks sorry to hear your kid has autism get him checked. That's why he didn't get this movie at all.

LOL! If you're gonna tell me my kid has autism, then why should I get him checked? You've already diagnosed him. Judgemental, are we? How old are you? Sorry to hurt your feelings kid, but the movie sucked! If you can't handle an opinion, then get off these message boards, cause you're gonna be disappointed at times.

I liked the movie but I think its main issue is the unintelligible language the minions speak. I watched it in English and I could catch few words in Italian or French. Also I used English subtitles and somehow they managed to give sense to few of their sentences. But the result was a mess.

Scarlet Overkill is a great villain, though!

The movie isn't funny. Besides the minionese they speak the rest of the movie was not entertaining. Sandra Bullock as the villain didn't work. It's not her fault I think it's just the character. My son didn't laugh at this at all. In fact he didn't even pay any attention after the open scenes. He thinks everything is funny. He thinks it's funny when I put the juice in the fridge. The movie just wasn't good. Sucks because I paid over $20 and neither he nor I enjoyed it.

This movie was pure bore. An hour and a half of gibberish. If his kid had autism.. He would have laughed alot more.
