question about the balloons in driveway when mom comes home

did anyone notice when her mom gave up the search and came home one of the ballons there was a thank you balloon did they run out of regular balloons was that a error?? why would someone leave a thank you balloon??

Maybe it was a balloon from one of Emma's friends that meant "Thank you for being a friend to me. I miss you."
