Emma's puking, puking, puking, and then she eats food! She lives next to a stream - rinse and spit a couple of times before you eat!
shareI think she did rinse a little bit with water Dean brought in that trough thing he was carrying. Then she is chewing on some kind of a leaf it looked like to me. I thought it was supposed to be maybe mint leaves or something to freshen her breath, because she says, "I'd give anything for some toothpaste right now". Then she mentions chicken soup, but I honestly didn't think she was eating, but chewing mint leaves to clean her mouth in lieu of toothpaste.
shareI thought it was berries, and if there was water, it would be in the cup-shaped vessel, not the trough-shaped one. But she eats out of the cup-shaped thing, and we see her collecting berries in some kind of container.
shareWe see her picking berries with a cup-like container and eating them a few minutes earlier in the movie, but that appeared to be on a prior day. In the vomit scene, Dean walks up with two containers, hands her the trough, then sets the cup on the ground. She sort of flicks a little water in the trough and maybe puts a few drops in her mouth. Then she takes what looks like a leaf from the cup and starts chewing it before expressing her desire for "real toothpaste". Hence, I believe she was chewing mint or some type of leaf in place of toothpaste.
