I just can't believe on a boat full of people all around, with the music stopped might I add, that there was no one that even looked back and saw Emma fall? Then 2 seconds later No One still notices Dean jumping in after her?? Really?? That whole part bothers me the most! The writers really forced their coming together and it wasn't believable. But I still LOVE this movie! ;)
Oh trust me,if you go back and read some of the posts from last summer on this board,we had a few discussions on the bad script writing. You're right,it's completely unrealistic that no one else-especially the people who were near to Dean-would have would have seen Emma fall overboard, and then not notice Dean jumping in after her. But we're not supposed to question it-haha!! And yes,I love this movie too!! Not as much as the Brooke and Chris original-but it holds it's own!!
Although the original holds a dear spot in my heart, I did like how this one was more modernized. The other two had characters that grew up on the island and basically that was all they knew. In this one, they already knew about the birds and the bees and were high school students for crying out loud!!!
I must say that my favorite scene hands down is the 2nd time they made love, after he jumps off her (and might I add that they could have been a bit more creative - she deserves to be on top once and a while), the whole dialogue after that was just darlingly cute! The writers were definitely lagging in other parts of the movie, but that whole scene was just perfect! And the whole "Emma, if ok was a drop of water, you'd be the whole freakin' Caribbean" thing.....OMG! Gets me every time!!! And I'm 33 years old! LOL! ;)
That scene was cute!Especially the part when Emma didn't want to tell Dean who her first time was with-since it was him-and she gets this really adorable kind of scrunched up face. Indiana played that scene very well, her expression was perfect, definitely captured the awkwardness of the moment!! ;)
Oh I know right! Brilliant job Indiana! Just adorable! Although that part melts me every time, I still can't help thinking that laying right next to his open armpit must've been quite stinky! LOL! ;)
You'd think the person who knocked Emma overboard would've noticed, or the police helicopter. What bothers me most is that we're supposed to believe he lost his V-card as a sophmore in high school to a JUNIOR IN COLLEGE. We're talking six years difference in age! That's just....eeeewwww.
I just watched it and nobody accidentally knocked her in, it seems the police boat bumped the Monte Carlo which threw her back and then tripped over the low rail. Music was still playing when she fell and when Dean jumped into the water. If cops show up anywhere, everyone will be looking at them and not each other. She was at the far end of the boat as well.
