STAY ON THE ISLAND,OR RETURN TO CIVILIZATION?

If you were in Emma and Dean's situation,would you have stayed on the island,or returned home,and why? Myself,if I were stranded on an island with a guy as hot as Brenton,I would probably have to be crazy to want to leave-lol!! And my real life is so stressful,I think just the surroundings would be more relaxing!! ;-)

Return, but with the promise to come back to the island to stay for a week every so often.

And where there are NO PANTHERS waiting to shred you to bits!

Return to civilization. I HATE camping - I need a shower, a toilet that flushes and some toilet paper.

FYI this kind of things only happens in movies. I can be with hot chick for that matter but eventually reality will kick in and beauty or pleasure will fade. Just think can you live with no proper way of brushing your teeth, how about you get bitten by a snake? and personally the most part I will miss is the delicious food that my mom make lol.

Also, be sure to learn how to make fire and learn to swim. Unless you live in a prison city and never go any where far, you will enjoy this movie.

@pinksplash 44-I'm a mom,so I totally get the epidural comment-lol!! I probably should have revised my original post a bit-made it to say,would you rather live in civilization,among other people,or have private island just for you and your bf/husband-gf/wife?? You're not trapped there,you have all the proper supplies and living equipment,but for all practical purposes,it's just the 2 of you. Myself,I would probably choose to spend the majority of my time on the island,where,in theory,it should be naturalistic,peaceful and quiet!! But like I said,you have a mode of transportation to come and go,and basic living supplies,toothpaste,soap,toilet paper,etc..... ;-)

Return to civilization. With Brenton. And carry on our lovefest.

@dearheart65-I like your thinking!! ;-)

Yes, I think I'd prefer civilization. Although if I were stranded on an island I wouldn't mind it being with Indiana! I don't think my wife would like that though!

reply

@rlslawn-lol!! But look at it this way-I'm sure she would rather you say you'd like to be stranded with Indiana,as opposed to Brenton-haha!! ;-)

I think 70% going back and 30% staying. The conveniences I would have to do without sways it. I don't get why right before Emma fires the first flare she got upset at Dean about staying on the island. In their position, there's not much they could have done to get rescued except have the SOS in sticks or whatever on the beach. It seems that the mentality they should have had and I would also is that they should live each day one at a time. Be prepared to leave at any minute and also be honest enough that they could very possibly live there for the rest of their lives and have to accept that.

So, that's a tough one. Probably stay on the island. I'd choose love over anything. I'm a hopeless romantic.

Same here. For fun, I actually edited together an alternate version in which they stay on the island forever. I replaced the rescue with the scene where the reporter says that the search has been called off, followed by the end of their first love scene, followed by the fade to black. I still like the original ending, though.

Well said.

Also to add to what I said is that they need to be prepared to get noticed with the flare when needed(I know the monkey had it the first time but the plane was to high and fast to see it).
