So all lesbians have sex the same way?

And they all know this because they're all in psychic communication with each other? What are they, pod people?

It's interesting that all the pod lesbians that make this stupid criticism of this movie ALSO seem to be totally ignorant of the very existence of female bisexuality. Sure, it's possible all female bisexuals are just closeted lesbians or are straight women just trying to turn guys on. It's also possible lesbians don't exist, but are just unattractive women who just can't find "the right man". Nothing like offensive stereotypes, huh?

Also, knowing the little that I know about lesbian sex, seven minutes (the longest sex scene in this) does not seem an inordinately long amount of time to have sex. Few women seem to suffer from premature ejaculation after all. But given MY psychic connection to ALL other men, I do know that seven minutes is not enough time for most of them to masturbate. So if you think THAT is the intention of the long sex scenes in this movie, I'm sorry my dear pod people, but there are definite limits to your psychic powers.

Yes, I've heard criticism from "real lesbians" that the sex scenes aren't "true to form," I suppose. I've not heard criticism of the sex scene lasting only 7 minutes, though.

Since the release of the film there has been criticism from so many - including the actresses - that I feel guilty that I liked the movie.

I've had a variety of sexual experiences in my life and many of those experiences have involved lesbians that were terrific friends and bisexual women with other bisexual women or bisexual women and lesbian women. The sex scenes rang just as true as anything that I have ever witnessed or participated in.

Yes, it would have been fine if the stars had been two lesbians - which seems to be of grave meaning for some - but they weren't and they both did a good job of acting' hence the awards.

The ending was terrific - Adele is going on another path and it's not to heterosexuality. It's a great love story and I found the encounter and emotions of being cheated upon to be realistic.

Some say that Adele was 15 when she meets Emma. I swear that I heard 16. She also talks about attending college and getting her masters in order to teach. So that would be 7 years? Adele is teaching and still with Emma when she cheats on her with her colleague but I don't know if there is a hint of how long they have been together?

I know that, at least, three years + have passed when they meet the last time, I just don't know how long they were together.
