I think the "critics" of this movie are all virgins

Sure, some are just trolls who have never even seen the movie, but they're no doubt virgins too.

I'll grant the sex scenes in this are a little long and filmed a little too much like porn, but if you really think they're porn, you've obviously never seen porn. They may not be "realistic" lesbian sex, but how many sex scenes in cinema--straight or gay--are ever particularly realistic? It is beyond me how you can really consider sex scenes with two of the most beautiful actresses I've ever seen "disgusting". It's like if someone found the manner in which the director filmed a beautiful sunset "disgusting" or "gratuitous", I'd just think they're an idiot. And then they claim these "disgusting" scenes ruined the entire movie for them. Huh? Why don't you just fast-forward through them? (I strongly suspect THESE people did the exact opposite and ONLY watched the sex, which is why they can't comment on the rest of the movie).

Most hilarious is the dumbasses going on about how they don't like having "a vagina thrust in their faces". If you're a straight/bi male or a "real" lesbian, you're going to try to tell me that the most disgusting vagina you've ever had in your face belongs to Adele Exarchopolous? This is a MOVIE so it at least can't be the most foul and rank. Hell, if you surgically attached my face to Adele Exarchoplous' butt like in "The Human Centipede" , well, I'm not going to say anything "immature" here, but there are far worse fates. . .

But it's YOU that are acting like a bunch of immature virgins (or trolls--same difference).

This is an outstanding film portraying a passionate, very sexual relationship in a mature and non-condescending manner. I agree that most of those who criticise it haven't seen it - anyone who had actually watched Blue is the Warmest Colour would know that it is anything but porn.

This is one of the weirdest things I've seen on this site or IMDB. Someone who doesn't know the meaning of 'critic', then makes a massive judgement on them, like me coming to the conclusion you obviously are the oddly proud owner of a micro-penis. I only hope you haven't offed yourself in the 5 years since posting.

I'm a virgin, but the sex scenes were great. need to rewatch though.

In the 1970s, this would have been porn. It's only now that what's referred to as porn is mindless sport-fucking between robotic-looking less-than-human beings that a movie with an actual story and some hot sex in it gets called cinema and a free pass. I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out that the definition of porn has radically changed over the decades.
