Don't understand. Spoilers

When confronted by the killer at the end, Susan had a choice to
a. Shoot him and go up in the blast with him. Or
b. Die a horrible death, leave a psychopath on the loose and hope that he wouldn't kill her children.

I'm sure she would have gone for the head shot and hoped for the best!

The whole room was filled with explosives. He could have taken out the whole block with that junk.

It was an out-of-the-way kind of place, as were all of the locations he had chosen for his attacks. My lack of understanding still stands.

reply

I don't believe it was out of the way.

He stole the house from the father of his first victim (during the war). So it was a fairly normal neighborhood.

Susan went there knowing she would most likely not make it out alive. But she was going to fight it out, besides she wanted to keep him away from her children.

When he revealed the explosives, that pretty much took away her option to fight.

reply

Nope, out of the way.
Even if it weren't, mothers would sacrifice them selves for their children.

reply

It is obvious from the scenes at the end where Susan goes to the derelict house that it is a built-up area. There are not many out-of-the-way places in Golders Green.
