Season 2 - Meh.. Disappointing

I am disappointed with season 2 so far. The first story, Blood on their hands, was ok. It wasn't super riveting, but it wasn't bad either. But this second story, Uncustomed Goods, barely has any suspense. I liked season 1. It was creepy and suspenseful, and I was hoping for more of that with season 2.. I wonder if the show will be picked up for a third season.

I'm with you there on that one. At least Series 1 presented a slightly interesting story but both stories in Series 2 were mindnumbingly cliché, which can be okay and sometimes even be quite good if executed well but there was nothing engaging about any of those four episodes. The ending of 02x04 was ridiculously rushed and lazily written, with everything ending tied up in a pretty little bow within the last six minutes.

I agree. I was pretty emotionally gripped by Season 1, despite the somewhat predictable ending, but Season 2...meh. Nowhere near as much suspense or intrigue.

The premise of the former colleagues coming together in S1 to solve a crime using their uncommon skills was a good one, but making them long-term amateur crime fighters is a bit silly. That said, it's so well acted I'd watch S3!

True, it's hard to stretch it because yes, they have to make them ardent amateur crime solvers that go on and on....

But I'll watch anyway--just to see these great women in a show together--and for the odd bit of pattern theory and complicated mathematical tricks they use when faced with a complex question.

And the period things are nice. Not a lot of mainstream drama is placed in the early 50s.

I am as well, really enjoyed the first season though the premise of the show it had one off mini series written all over it.
I guess its success meant stretching their role into regular crime fighting and for me it just hasn't worked
