Longo has been on death row for over 10 years. When is his execution date? I cannot find it on Google. Did they lift his sentence?

What are the reasons for the long stay of inmates on deathrow? Is it just for possible appeals or is there other reasons?

Appeals. California has gotten rid of the death penalty ans brought it back, which is why the Manson family all received life in prison. They were sentenced to death, but their sentences were changed to life with the possibility of parole after a judgement passed shortly after their convictions.

They won't. He's in Oregon a state that only executed 2 people in the last 50 years.

I knew someone who was sentenced to death in Mississippi and died of natural causes in his 50s a little over a year ago. He had been locked up 20 years awaiting execution.
If they were all like him they should save our tax dollars by shooting them on sight.
