Very true. One just decided to go the route of violence. Although, having read the book and the writer did take responsibility for lying about the NYT story. He still comes off as cocky and "liked" Longo. Think he had sympathy for Longo because they are a lot alike.

He's too organized, too charming. Psychopath maybe. I'm not surprised Mikes likes him- psychopaths are professional manipulators. It's their job to make people like them. People loved Bundy. Strangers elected to go home with him. Even Gacy- here's a slovenly, unattractive man that everyone just adored.
